By Lexi Myer
In the past, I have not been a fan of New Year’s Resolutions. Not because I think they are cliché or cheesy, but because people (including myself) tend to not take them seriously the last 11 months of the year. However, this year I decided to jump on board with the getting healthier resolution.
It started with a conversation with my two sister in laws. They were talking about doing a Whole30 diet in the month of January, and I decided that I would try it. After having two kids in an 18 month period, going on a healthy eating plan could not hurt anything. So I did my research, pinned lots of recipes, and got ready to start the journey. I also committed to going back to the gym that I pay for each month on a more consistent basis.
I am a week in and so far, I can say that I love the diet that I am on (check out the rules on what I am doing here: https://whole30.com/downloads/official-whole30-program-rules.pdf). Even though I am a cheese, ranch, pizza, and everything fried addict, I have somehow made it this far without much of a cheat. I feel better
What are your resolutions this year?
