Fourth of July Safety Tips

By Lexi Myer

I grew up in a suburban area of Kansas City on the Kansas side, which was wonderful, with one exception. No fireworks. It was a risk to all homes in the area to allow this (which I now see the merit in this decision as an insurance agent), so it was against the law. It was a total bummer for many of my friends, but luckily for me, my grandparent’s own a small farm that is in Northwestern Missouri, and you can shoot off all of the fireworks that you would like up there.

The American Red Cross has a wonderful list of safety tips to keep you and your loved ones safe as you enjoy some of America’s favorite traditions.  Check out not only their fireworks safety, but grilling tips as well!  View their tips here.
