Growing up, neither of my parents were coffee drinkers (which is amazing since they had four very active children to keep up with), but somewhere along the line I grew a fascination with coffee drinks. So much so that when I was in high school, my parents got me a coffee maker for Christmas. Now, I was definitely not a coffee snob that grinded my own beans that were imported directly from Colombia, but I sure enjoyed the sugary, caffeinated concoction that I made before school.
I am now a mom of two children and I wear about seven other hats throughout the day. The need for coffee in my life is real. During the warm months, I want a refreshing, cool drink to wake me up in the morning (and again at 2 pm). As much as I would love to get a venti iced caramel macchiato from Starbucks every day, I need something that is a little more budget friendly. I came across this recipe for cold brew that I found in my searching. Cold brew tastes great black or with some sweet cream. Either way, it is an easy way to get a coffee fix for a fraction of the cost.
